Giving back to my community has always been a passion of mine. I have served on a financial institution advisory board for the past eight years. Currently, I'm employed as a high school teacher where I'm responsible for teaching students life skills
Cynthia Singleton
Cynthia Singleton, a retired Human Resources Executive, is a native of Brooklyn NY and Sumter SC. She received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology. Following graduation, she joined Procter & Gamble where she worked in various Engineering, Manufacturing Operations and Human Resources assignments for more than 33 years.
She currently spends her “time, talent and treasure” serving her community, sorority, and church. Cynthia currently chairs the Union County Board of Elections. She has served the NC & Union County Democratic Party as member, First Vice Chair, Precinct Officer, Committee Chair and Voter Outreach volunteer. Cynthia volunteers as an HR/Organizational and Training consultant with the Community Shelter of Union County. She also volunteers with Turning Point and Common Heart. She is a Life Member of the NAACP where she serves as Political Action Committee Co-chair for the Union County Branch and is a Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated where she serves as Chaplain and Connections & Social Action Chairman. Cynthia is a member of New Beginnings Church where she started and leads the Our Journey of Hope Cancer Care Ministry. She has also served as member of the church’s Finance, Missions, and Angel Tree Ministries.
Cynthia is also a business owner and has founded and serves as President of two non-profit organizations which seeks to support cancer patients and their families and transform our communities.
